THE NEW ZEALAND BAND.
The personnel of the New Zealand 3and has now been definitely settled, lieutenant Herd having made his inal selection. The band will leave New Zealand by the s.s. Corinthic, leaving Wellington on March 19th. The Band is as follows : — Coniuctor Lieutenant T. Herd, bandmaster Wellington Garrison Band. Soprano comet — W. Sneddon, Wellington Garrison Band. B flat cornets and flugel horns -E. C. Derry, bandmaster, Christchurch ; J. W. Glennie, solo cornet, Southland Battalion Band ; E. Eerr, solo cornet Kaikorai Band ; F. W. Hopkinson, bandmaster, Denniston ; F. W G. M'Leod, bandmaster, Masterton, and late solo cornet Oamaru Garrison Band; L. T. King, late solo cornet Wellington Garrison Band and Pollard's orchestra"; G. M. Nichol, solo cornet, Bluff Navals Band, and L. Macdonald, Wellington Garrison Band. E flat horns — J. M'Kersey, Denniston, late Dunedin Navals Band ; A. M'Neil, Newtown Band, late Eaikorai Band ; H. B. Lange, Hauraki Band, conductor Thames Orchestral Society; F. Meyrick, bandmaster, Palmerston North. Baritones J. Flint, North-east Valley Band, Dunedin ; A. Bryce, Milton Band. Trombones— H. B. Oakes, Wellington Garrison Band, tenor; R. Pettit, Kaikorai Band, Dunedin, tenor; J. M'Kenzie,Dunedin Navals Band, bass. Euphoniums — J. A. O'Brien, Kaikorai Band, solo ; A. Ferguson, Southland Battalion Band, second. Basses — C. J. Davie, Kakorai Band, B flat; C. Hansen, Southland Battalion Band, B flat ; J. Ablett, late Christchurch Garrison Band, E. flat ; H. Dixon, Masterton Municipal Band, E. flat. Side drum— A. Reid, Derry's Band, Christchurch.
