Cycling.
Last evening a bicycle road race waa held in Feildirig and a considerable aniqunt of interest was taken in the pvent both by cyclists and spectators, quite a crowd of the latter witnessing the start and the finish. The ..^competitors -22 in number -were started in Kimbolton Road, opposite the Manchester Hotel, and went along .theAwahuri Road to Lee's line and back, ;v the distance being about four miles.The race resulted in a fairly easy win for F. Hasse (with 80secs .start), B. Henderson (45secs) being second, and A Hay ward (45secs) third.' The other starters were Wa Splatt (30), A.: 0, Foster, J. Fisher (4^)," Q.
