(Per Press Association.) Wellington, January 27. The Bowling Tournament was resumed today, the whole of the play baking place oh the Wellington Club's green. The Champion Pairs and Fours have began but are far from completed. The weather was delightful, and it being \ half -holiday in town, the attendance of the pnblic very large. The utmost interest was taken in playing off the Inter-Club Match between the Newtown, Wanganni, and Wellington Clubs, in which victory gave the winners the right to hold the Banner for the year. Newtown drew a bye and Wei* lington and Wanganui played first. Those two Clubs played 4 rinks but in the final Newtown had only three rinks and therefore one of the Wanganui rinks had to look on. For the first half of the game Wellington had an advantage of Wanganui, but then the visitors gradually drew up and the game ended Wan* ganai 87, Wellington 76, the visitors thas winning by eleven points. At 5 o'clock the Wanganui and Newtown rinks met to decide the championship. Wanganui at once secured a strong lead having 20 points to Newtown's one after few heads had been played, and they eventually won the Banner easily by 60 points. This Day.
