Hawke's Bay Caledonian Society's Sports.

.«. — — — (Per Press Association.) Napieb, January 27. TheHawke'ffßay Caledonian Society's annual gathering was held to-day in the presence of about three thousand people. Fine weather was experienced. The Caledonian Handicap was won by S. Brewer, McDonald and C. Ryan being equal in the aggregate for second money, la the Bicycle Handicap, three distances, Peacock and Jas. Caughley tied for firsts place, Petersen next. The Amateur Handicap, three distances, was won by A. Bowman, H. G. Anderson second. Thompson of Oamaru, and McEechnie, of Dunedin, both won gold medals for dancing events and pipe music. F. Mullins, of Oamaru, won the mile rnn, G. Peterson the five mile bicycle race, and A. W. Watts, of Feilding, the Hurdle Handicap.
