(Per Press Association). New York, Jan. 27. The steamer Australia has arrived at Frisco from Honolulu. She reports the Taupo signalled the Swanbilda that Butler was aboard, The Swanhilda responded " all right." This is taken as an indication Butler was a prisoner. Sydney, This Day. The jury returned a verdict that Burgess was wilfully murdered by Butler. With reference to tbe Swanhilda cable message the Sydney Morniug Herald suggests a passing vessel had been in- , formed by the Captain of the Swanhilda he had Butler in irons as tbe result of information given him by the Captain of the Taupo.
