SUBJECTS FOR CONSIDERATION.

The following subjects will be con* ■idered at the Conference of Australasian Premiers, to be held at Hobart:— (l) Closer trade union with the Mother Country; (2) intercolonial reciprocity; (8) Australasian naval squadron agreement; (4) lighthouse at the Snares, and question of lighthouses generally; (5) reservation of colonial Bills for tbe Boyal auent; (6) local »nd intercolonial pre> oedence; (7) competition of oversea ▼Mads with coloured crews in Australasian coastal trade; (8) uniformity of legislation with regard to mercantile marks; (9) reciprocity as to admission of members of the legal profession ; (10) summoning witnesses from other colonies; (11| law as to bringing back deserting husbands and parents ; (12) judicial notice being taken of laws of other colonies in legal proceedings ; (18) assimilation of laws relating to engage • ment, Ac., of seamen, &c ; (14) alteration in mode of preparing statistics relating to import* and exports; (15) position of Western Australia and Tasmania regarding resolutions of Sydney Conference as to federal quarantine and small-pox ; (17) treaty with Japan ; (18) issue of free passes to Paris Exhibition of 1900 ; (19) celebration of Queen's reign of sixty years ; (20) question of Minister to represent Anstralasia at Washington Postal Conference; (21) codification of commercial law of United Kingdom and colonies ; (22) federal commercial law for Anstralasia, and reference to bankruptcy, carriers by land and sea, partnerships, joint stock companies, and other cognate subjects.
