Pohangina Notes.

On Saturday, a committee meeting of I the Pohangina Small Farm Association, No. 2, was held in the Public Hall. Present— All the members. Correspondence was received from the County Council stating that the loan which was i carried was informal, and suggesting a fresh poll be taken. It was resolved that | the Chairman reply to the County ; Council and request the Council to proceed with a new loan proposal under the Loans to Local Bodies Act for the construction of roads and bridges in the Special Rating District, comprising the whole of the sections in the Pohangina Small Farm Association, No. 2 in the Pohangina Biding, and those sections in the Mangaone Riding which were included in the late proposal rejected by the Colonial Secretary. Resolved, That the Association request the Council to instruct their | engineer to satisfy himself that the sum 1 of £4668 will be sufficient to complete the works. Resolved, That the Association desire ! to thank the Council for their considera- ! tion in allotting them a double proportion out of next year's loan money. Resolved, That a deputation consisting | of the Chairman, with Messrs A. Wagstaff and Baylia, wait on the Council, at their next meeting, in reference to the loan proposal. Resolved, That P. Ronberg's applica- ! tion for transfer of section 18, Block X, to J. King be granted. Resolved, That the Secretary be authorised to pay Mr Edward's fee of three guineas for counsel's opinion. — Standard.
