A FIELD DAY.

FOR A. & P. SOCIETY MEMBERS. VISIT TO TUAKAU. Members of the Franklin Agricultural and Pastoral Society, their wives and friends, will have an opportunity of inspecting Tuakau’s principal industries on Wednesday, October 28. The itinerary includes visits of inspection to the New Zealand Co-oper-ative Daily Company’s factory, the Taupiri Dairy Company’s factory and piggeries and Mr W. A. Smeed’s metal quarries at Pukekawa. It is also probable that arrangements will be made for a journey up the-Waikato river from the Tuakau beach to the .landing at the quarries.' Arrangements were finalised at the meeting of the executive held on Friday evening and present indications point to a large number being present.
