High Prices for Horses at Pukekohe.
A KEEN DEMAND. ENTIRE REALISES 80 GNS. A keen demand for horses existed m the Pukekohe sale conducted on Friday by Alfred Buckland and Sons, Limited. The top price was 'BO guineas, paid by Mrs D. McFadden of Patumahoe, for the three-years-old registered Clydesdale stallion, Repetition, offered on account of Mr T. Varley of Pukekohe.
A young medium draught, sold on behalf of Mr 0. Henry of Waiuku, was purchased by Mr J. Fagan of Waitakaruru, for £6l. Another young medium draught gelding from Mr Henry realised £sl. Two medium draughts, three and four-year-olds, sold for Mr G. Carter of Bombay, each realised £45.
Prices realised were: Extra good young medium draughts, £sl to £6l; others, £4O to £46; aged draughts, £25 to £35; light farm sorts, £2O to £3O; unbroken two-years-old draught gelding, £3O; yearling draught colt, £l7: best hacks, £2 10s to £lO.
