Police Raid Local Business Premises.

j OCCUPANTS ARRESTED.

t i BOTH APPEAR BEFORE COURT.

REMAND GRANTED. This morning members of the Pukekohe police force raided local business premises and effected Ihe arrest of Leslie Robert White (34) and his wife, Dorothy Pauline White (32). Later husband and wife appeared before Mr F. H. Levien, S.M., at the Pukekohe Court and were charged with being Hie occupiers of premises situated at 78 King street, Pukekohe, and with using same as a common gaming nouse.

On the application of the police, and with the consent of the accused, both were remanded until .March 7.

Bail of £SO, and one surety of £SO, in each case was allowed.

The arrests were effected by Sergeant .). T. Cowan, Detective Moore and Constable W. Mawhinney.
