CONTINUE ON SATURDAY.
THE DRAW FOR PLAY.
TWO ROUNDS TO COMPLETE. Two rounds of play will see the Franklin Lawn Tennis Association’s in-ter-club competitions completed, after which semi-finals and duals are to be played.
Play will he resumed on Saturday, (liedraw for play being as follow: A grade, group 1: Waiuku v. Aka Aka, at Aka Aka; Pukckohe East v. Pukekohe, at Pukekohe.
A grade, group 11: St. .Janies’ v. Pokono, at St. James’: West End-Hill v. Buckland. at Buckland.: Onewhero v. Tuakau, at Onewhero.
B grade, group 1: Pukekohe v. Patumahoe, at Patumahoe; Pukekohe East v. Karaka, at Pukekohe East: Waiau Pa v. St. James’, at Waiau Pa.
B grade, group II: Waiuku v. Otaua/ at Waiuku: West End-Hill v. Pollok, at West End-Hill; Kariotahi v. Aka Aka., at Kariotahi.
B grade, group III: Pokeno v. Paparimu, at Paparimu: Mercer v. Bombay B. at Mercer.
B grade, group IV: Onewhero v. Tuakau, at Tuakau: Buckland v. Pukekawa, at Pukekawa: Tuakau Domain v. Suburban, at Tuakau Domain.
TOURNEY AT TUAKAU. • " " A tournament promoted by the Tuakau Central Tennis Club was commenced this week. The first and sec-> ond rounds have to be completed by February 28 and the finals by March 7. The entries for each of the men’s singles and ladies’singles totalled 17. while 30 entries were made for the combined doubles.
For the ladies’ singles, the club has donated a cup, and for the men’s singles and combined doubles trophies are being supplied by the club. At Easter, it is hoped to arrange Ihe usual club tourney.
