BREEDERS OF AUCKLAND BRANCH. ANNUAL MEETING AT PUKEKOHE. The annual meeting of the Auckland branch of the Ayrshire Cattle Breeders’ Association was held at Pukekohe last week and was well attended. The balance sheet and an-nual-accounts showed a profit for the year of.- £6 12s lid and assets exceed liabilities by £2l Ids’ id. The year terminated with a small balance of cash in hand. Mr .W. Lawton was elected a-mem--her.' Officers were elected as follow:- — President, Mr T. INI’. Thomson, senr.; vice-president, Mr M. D. Lawton; secretary, and treasurer, -Mr-H. E.- Kiss- - ling: honorary auditor, Mr D. R. Hamilton: committee, Messrs C. Bailey, W. Lawton, D. Thomson, R. Marshall, G. R. Murphy. The branch’s bull. “Arran Chief,” was leased to Mr W. Lawton for a further season. The president said that although very little work had been done by the branch during the year just concluded, he was pleased that the branch had been able to continue to function as he felt sure that with an improvement in the country’s financial position the branch would be able to do quite a lot in file near future to help to popularise the Ayrshire breed. Tie noted a marked inereasejin the interest being taken in Ayrshire; cattle and he predicted that in the not far distant future there, would be very general use of the Ayrshire for butter, cheese or. town supply.
