GOLF NOTES.

TOURNEY AT EVERSLIE. A tournament, promoted by th'~: Everslie Golf Club, took place on Wednesday, twenty players talcing part. Fine weather prevailed and the links were in first-class condition. A handicap bogey match was played in the morning, and a handicap medal match in the afternoon. H. Levey (Otahuhu) won a special prize for the best score over the two rounds —156, and also established a course record by returning a card of 73 for one round. The best cards returned were: Levy 156, W. B. Eustace 160, P. Hogan 168, C. S. Beechey, 169. The bogey match resulted as follows: Levy, 1 up: Stevenson, all square: A. P. Eustace, 3 down; E. OTAHUHU BEATS EVERSLIE.

The Otahuhu and Everslie Golf Clubs met at Everslie in a friendly match during the week-end and a most enjoyable day was spent. The match resulted in a win for Otahuhu by eight matches to four, two being all square. Following are the results, Otahuhu names being mentioned first in each case:—Levy beat Hogan, 5 and 4: W. B. Eustace lost to Warden, 4 and 3: A. P. Eustace beat Hobson, 8 and 7; Reader lost to Beechey, 3 and 2: Easterbrook beat Busing, 1 up; Rice beat Todd, 6 and 5; Kay beat T. G.
