UNITED CLUB'S EFFORT. FUNCTION LAST 'EVENING. Organised by the United Rugby Football Club, a most successful dance was held in the Oddfellows' Hall, Pukekohe, last evening. Over 60 couples danced to music supplied by Messrs Stan. Hulme, Charlton, Stewart, and Whitehead. Miss M. Peterson played extras. Messrs C. Stoupe and A. J. White were M's. C. A most enjoyable function was brought to a close about 1.30 a.m.
In response to requests, the club has decided to conduct a similar dance in a few weeks' time. The social committee is to be congratulated on the complete arrangements made.

Wood, white satin and georgette; Miss P. Harrington, blue shot laffeta; Miss Kathleen O'Connor, cream georgette; Miss Pat Lyne, flared frock of ivory georgette; Miss E. Clews, camelia georgette. Miss B. Fairley, powder blue crepe de chine;- Miss Elsie Cronin, frilled apple green georgette; Miss W. Donovan (Bombay), powder blue georgette with a tiered skirt; Miss J. Land, floral georgette; Miss Donovan (Bombay), green georgette with a tight fitting bodice; Miss P. Aitken, frilled frock of black satin; Miss Ethel Cronin, blue crepe de chine relieved with silver lace; Miss N. Grubb, green embossed georgette: Miss Eyton, apricot georgette: Miss E. Wiggins, duchess blue crepe de chine; Miss G. Pleydell, black lace; Miss P. McCormiek, daffodil lace and crepe de chine; Miss L. Knowles, salmon pink georgette.
