NOTICE is hereby given that at a Special Meeting of the Franklin County Council held on Thursday, the 20th day of January, 1927, the following resolution (intended to operate as a Special Order) was passed, and will be submitted for confirmation at the ordinary monthly meeting of the Council to be held on Thursday, the 10th day of March, 1927, at the County Office, Roulston Street, Pukekohe. RESOLUTION: THAT in pursuance and in exercise of the powers vested in it by SubSection (e) of Section 17 of the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1926, and of all other Acts and powers (if any) it in that behalf enabling and subject to an Order in Council in pursuance of Section 20 of the Finance Act, 1919, being obtained authorising the Council to borrow, the Franklin County Council hereby resolves by way of Special Order as follows: — 1. —THAT the Council proceed to raise a loan of One Thousand four hundred pounds (£1,400) for the purpose of metalling the road to be known as Ostrich Road, Patumahoe, from the Woodhouse Hill Road to the WaiukuDrury Road. ' 2. THAT such loan be called The Franklin County Ostrich Road (Patumahoe) Special Rating Area Loan of £I4OO (1927.)” 3. —THAT the currency of the said loan shall be for a period of thirtysix and one-half (36J) years, commencing on the 25th day of March, 1927, and maturing on the 25th day of September, 1963. 4. —That the interest on the said loan shall be at the rate of six pounds (£6) per centum per annum, and be payable half-yearly on the 25th day of March and September in each and every year. 5. —That the form of security for the payment of principal and interest on the said loan shall be fourteen debentures of one hundred pounds (£100) each and relative coupons*in a form in conformity with the provisions of the Local Bodies’ Loans Act, 1926. , 6. —THAT the Council doth hereby appropriate and pledge as security for the repayment of the said loan and the interest, sinking fund, and other charges thereon the special rate ot one penny and nine-sixteenths of a penny (1 and 9-16ths d.) in the pound sterling on the rateable value (on the basis of the capital value) of all rateable property in the Ostrich Road (Patumahoe) Special Rating Area being parts of Karaka and Mauku Ridings of the County of Franklin. 7. —THAT the principal and interest ! shall be payable at the Bank of New Zealand, Wellington. ! 8. —THAT the cost of raising the ! loan and the interest and sinking fund for the first year be paid out of the loan.
