THE COUNTY BALL. ENJOYABLE TIME ASSURED. Everything is progressing well for j the county ball, to be held on Wed- ‘ nesday, October 28. and representatives from Tuakau, Bombay. Buckland j Pokeno, Waiuku, Drury, Waiau, and | Pukekohe will be present. The ball |is one which concerns the whole county, and is intended as a county social event. That it is held at Patumahoe is because the War Memorial Hall is under the jurisdiction of the Franklin County Council. Any surplus proceeds will be given to the War Memorial Hall funds. The supper is in the hands of Mr J. Haynes, caterer, of Auckland. A good dance programme will be provided and the music will be supplied by Hulme’s full orchestra. The hall will be decorated, blue and gold predominating. No effort is being spared to make the ball a great success. Intending patrons should get their tickets as soon as | possible. The hall floor will be spec- I ially prepared for the ball and dancers | should enjoy themselves. «
