FINDON SHAPES WELL IN TRENTHAM TRIALS
(P.A.) WELLINGTON, July 17. Rain overnight left the track heavy for the final gallops at Trentham this morning, and the work was. largely restricted. In sprint tasks the best of the morning was credited to Findon, who worked freely and showed no ill-effects of his fall on the first day. The Dozer was well clear of Ally Sloper at the completion of' a mile and a-quarter, the final mile taking 2.4 and the last three furlongs 47. Sir Warrior came home from the haltmile in 56 2-5. Duality was doing better than Montello d'Oro after running the last half-mile of their work in 56. ,' Gay Chat was under a good hold while covering seven furlongs with Blue Moon, the full distance taking 1.33 3-5 and the last half-mile 58. Psalm was too good for Hostess over half a mile in 53. Hot Pursuit and Beau le Havre were let off with easy tasks. Zealander was doing better than Tutere at the completion of their work, the last half-mile taking 58 1-5. : Battle Dance was not doing his best to hold Morotai over six furlongs, the last half-mile in 57 1-5. Sari was going easily to cover half • a mile in 57, and Lynn Vaals beat Cinereous and Lord Holland in a similar task in 53 2-5. Platamon shaded Noble Knight in 54 1-5 FINDON’S EFFORT. Findon was under a good hold to have the edge on Leadership and Erinmore over the same journey in 52 1-5, which was the best of the morning. Corineus, Whirlwind Star, and Foxstar. were associated over a mile in 1.56 3-5, and -Prize Ring covered tile last half-mile of seven furlongs in 58. Special Flight and Bafflnig sprinted half a mile in 54. ' Copper Coin was well clear of Erin s Pal and Great Chum at the end of a mile in 1.53 1-5, which was a sound effort. In a similar task Master Play, Good Armour, Desert Trek, Ruling Moment, and Roman Son were bunched throughout lo register 1.56. . Uanjah led Swift Fox early in a halfmile task, but Swift Fox was in front at the end in 54 4-5
