ATTEMPT MADE TO ENCIRCLE GUERRILLAS
(Reo, 11. ami.) 1 ATHENS [ July 15. Greek regulars are -trying to encircle guerrillas in the Kalpaki area, near Janina. According to the istry of .Public Order army detachments rushed to Kalpaki from Janina have occupied gome' heights, - and other Government forces pushing up from -the south have reached the Vasili ka area north-west of Kalpaki. The .-Associated Press says guerrilla : foroes are reported to b« * advancing towards Janina- The attackers apparently include part of the .force which attacked Kunit?a, and ’»i new column which attacked a small village 19 miles west of Janina last pight. This force, striking downwards along a small river, apparently was caught between a Greek aiuny unit whioli reinforced i Konitza and;, reinforcements moving northward from Janina Unconfirmed reports from Athens state that there is 'a possibility of another invasion of the frontiers, and the - defences of Fiorina and Kastoria, both opposite the Yugoslav frontier,, are being strengthened. ,
