Although the outbreak has not assumed 'tHe proportions of an demic, anxiety has been arouged by continuing reports of infantile paralysis cocos in the Midlands and North of England. Singe 1938 the (lumber of infantile paralysis cases reported in Britain has.been unusually small, but this summer several schools have been closed owing to the appearance of the disease among their pupils. In addition. of. the total number of eases reported, a larger percentage than usual hag been adults. The latest case reported was at Dulwich College, South-east London.
