. The best form of war memorial would be repairs to Green Island roads, was the hovel suggestion put forward by one speaker at a public meeting in Green Island Inst night. Tempers became frayed when the 'same speaker suggested that the mayor, Mr J. Boomer, Was out of order, and that the mooting should start 3gam., A section of the audience was strongly opposed to the idea of a community centre, and was far from pleased when the proposal was adopted.
