ADDRESS TO ALPINE CLUB

Members of the Otago section of the New Zealand Alpine Club were addressed at the monthly meeting last night bv Mr D. W. Heaven on Mount Brunner and the Douglas country at the back of Mount Sefton. Mr Heaven was a member of the party which made the first ascent of this mountain, which ■fas then one of the few remaining un'climbed peaks in the main divide, and brieflv outlined its history. The address' was well illustrated with coloured slides, which showed the many attractions in this country of spectacular and almost incessant avalanches.
