EGYPTIANS ADVERTISE GRIEVANCES IN NEW YORK PRESS

(Rec. 9 a.m.) NEW YORK, July 14. The ‘ Herald-Tribune ’ and ‘ New York Times ’ each a fullpage advertisement to-day," headed, “ Character of Negotiations between Egypt and Great Britain,” inserted by the Committee for Unity of the Nile Valley. The advertisement, which is mild in tone compared with the recent Jewish full-page displays, outlines the history of the A nglo-Egyptian dispute over the Nile Valley, and concludes its 2.500-word statement with: “ There can be no question of either the Egyptians or the Sudanese expressing their will freely with British troops still in a position to control both ends of the Nile. The cry of the Sudanese and Egyptian is for unity of the Nile Valley. This cry cannot be stifled.” The advertisement does not appeal for money. The committee, whose headquarters is in Cairo, recently opened an office in Washington.
