PRINCESS’S ENGAGEMENT RING OF GREAT SENTIMENTAL VALUE

(Rec. noon.) LONDON, July 14. Princess Elizabeth’s engagement ring was made from diamonds of great sentimental value to Lieutenant Mountbatten’s family, says the ‘ Daily Mail.’ The diamonds were originally in a ring belonging to Lieutenant Mountbatten’s mother, Princess Alice of Greece, some of which were given her by her husband, the late Prince Andrew.

Princess Elizabeth’s ring consists of a big centre diamond flanked on each side by a cluster of five smaller stones.
