JAPANESE DOCTOR’S THEORY OF CANCER AND RELATED DISEASES
(IRec. 9 a.m.) LONDON, July 14. A new theory that leukaemia is related to cancer* virus was made yesterday by Dr Ityojun Kinoshita, of Osaka University, who claimed on Saturday that he had isolated cancer virus. Dr Kinoshita said that bv introducing cancer virus into rats he noticed after a week an extraordinary increase of characteristi ■ cells in the blood. After dissection, significant changes occurred in the spleen, liver and lungs. He noticed that cells found in the blood and other organs had practically the same characteristics as those of asciles sarcoma, a type of cancer in which he had revealed cancer virus. He had identified it as a tj'pe of leukaemia.-
