J. C. Kearney, 1947 All Black fiveeiglith, who was to have played his first game in Dunedin for many years in the Otago Sub-union’s team against a Metropolitan side to-morrow, has been injured and will be out of Rugby for 10 days. . Playing for the Combined Sub-, union’s team against Southland Subunions, at Ranfurly yesterday, Kearney suffered an injury to the ribs and he had to leave the field in tfre’second half. An X-ray revealed-that there were no hones' broken but he. was ordered by his doctor to have a spell for 10 days. ..
