NEGLIGENT DRIVER'S APPEALS DISMISSED

(P.A.) WELLINGTON, July 15. The Court of Appeal to-day dismissed the appeals of James William Martin, of Wellington, against a conviction for negligent driving and sentence of disqualification of his license for life. The. case was heard on June 16. Judgment of the court was to the effect that the general issues had been fully explained to the jury by Mr Justice Cornish, and that the final issue had been fairly left to the jury. The court also pointed out that the trial judge had had a full opportunity of observing the appellant at the trial and the sentence of disqualification would not be disturbed. The court now stands adjourned until July 29.
