WEDDING RINGS STOLEN IN SMASH AND GRAB RAID

When he smashed the window of the shop belonging to Gregory and Gore, jewellers, in High street, at about 9.15 last night, a thief got away with white gold and other wedding rings to the value of £34, but ignored the much more valuable wristlet watches and other jewellery which was also in the window. It is understood that two men who heard the crash pursued the thief, tait failed to capture him. Four of the missing rings have since been found in High street. The police are investigating.
