The Weather Office advised at noon: A deep depression is moving rapidly across southern New Zealand. Pressures are very low over South-east Australia. ‘ Forecast to 5 p.m.. to-morrow: Fresh to strong northerlies, backing temporarily to the south-west to-night. Weather fair, apart front a brief period of showers to-night with the wind change. Temperatures moderate. Further outlook: Another soutli-west change probable on Thursday. ■ TO-DAY IN DUNEDIN. Fine and sunny; mild to warm ; light northerly wind. SOUTHERN CENTRES. Timaru: Fair at noon; light southerly. Oamaru: Fair at noon; light northeasterly. Moeraki: Fair at noon; fresh northerly. Queenstown: Overcast and raining at 9 a.m.; calm; rainfall .06in; temperature 46deg. Alexandra: Overcast at 9 a.m.; moderate north-westerly; temperature 54deg; rainfall .Olin. Ranfurly: Fair at noon; fresh northwesterly. 'Balclutha: Fair at noon; light northeasterly. / Gore: Fair at noon; light northeasterly. Invercargill: Fine at noon; fresh north-easterly; temperature 57deg.
