DELICIOUS STEAMED PUDDING
Four ounces figs, cut small, 2oz breadcrumbs, loz flour, 2oz butter, 2oz sugar, I'finely-chopped apple, ■ J-teaspoojl baking powder. Mix all these ingredients together and add a teacup of milk. Turn mixture into a well-greased, mould, cover well with . greased paper, and' steam steadily for four hours. The addition of the ■ grated rind of an orange is an improvement to the pudding. Serve with custard sauce.
