He was chairman of directors of Davis Gelatine (Australia) Proprietary Ltd., and .'"its" ' associated companies,' the Cockatoo’ Docks and Engineering Company Proprietary Ltd., the -Mount Frome Lime Company Proprietary Ltd. ; and Animal Health Products Proprietary 'Ltd., and a director of the Mercantile Mutual Insurance Company Ltd., arid Alluvial Prospectors Company. He was born at Auckland in 1883, and educated at King’s College, subsequently coming to Australia.
