Thai Prime Minister, Mr Fraser, said to-day that this, would; be -the best opportunity for .citizens' to' see their -- distinguished visitor ~ and Ahe hoped, the people would take the opportunity, of fining the route., 1 * Lord Montgomery;will leave Government House in-the morning, for the “ Wellington Citizens’ ' War Memorial, where he will lay a wreath. 'Should .the 1 weather be fine, an open car will be used. At the conclusion of this ceremony the field-marshal will drive to ■Parlir.meht House, where he ; will be met; by Mr Fraser and conducted into the 'buildipg. While at Parliament Hoiisey -Lord MontgoTnery will have discussions’ with the Government. The Mayor, Mr W. Appleton, stated to-day that he had requested that primary and secondary schools should be closed, and that arrangements should be .made for the pupils to be gathered at suitable points: along the , Touted- He -appealed to business people 1 to display bunting and to nllow members of: their staffs off for a short period.
