(EX) WELLINGTON, July 1.4.. Five thousand cases of tinned,- jam, part of a consignment of gift food for Britain, were being loaded aboard the Blue Star ship Australia Star at. Wellington to-day. She will sail on Thursday for London. The fruiti is part of a £75,000 purchase of gift food for made some time- ago by the National Patriotic Fund Board. Other foods bought were bacon, cheese, and dried apples. The money for the purchase was collected in street. day appeals over. a long period by the board. Several shipments of bacon have already gone, 650'cases in the Ruahine and 634 cases in the Sydney Star. - ■
