HELD UP AT REVOLVER POINT, ROBBED AND BOUND TO TREE
(Rec. 1 p.m.) SYDNEY, June 26. Held up at revolver point near the top of the Bulli Pass, on the South Coast road, a Corrimal resident was marched into the bush and tied to a tree by two young thugs, who then made off on his motor cycle. The oolice later arrested and charged two young men who were trying to sell a motor cycle at a garage in the suburb of Burwood. In broad daylight the motor cyclist was hailed by the two men, who covered him with a revolver when he stopped. One, went through his pockets, taking his license, registration certificate, petrol .tickets, and money. They then marched him 200yds into the bush, bound his hands with cord, and then tied him upright to a tree. It toqk him about two hours to free himself, which he did by wriggling and twisting until he could get his teeth to the knots.
