ACTIVITY OF RIFF LEADER BRINGS PROTEST FROM FRANCE

PARIS, June 26.

The French Ambassador in Cairo, M. Gilbert Aivengas, handed the Egyptian Government a Note protesting against the political activity in Egypt of Abd-el Krim, the former Moroccan leader, who landed in Egypt after 21 years’ exile on Reunion Island. The Note said the French Government was waiting-to know what measures the Egyptian Government would take to fulfil its promise that Abd-el Krim would not be allowed to take part in political activities while in Egypt.
