RUSSIA'S OFFER ACCEPTED BY BRITAIN AND FRANCE
(ißec. 9.35 a.m.) LONDON, June 23. Britain and France have accepted Russia’s suggestion for a meeting to discuss the Marshall plan. Mr Beviti said in the House of Commons to-day that he had informed Russia hfc was agreeable to a suggested date and place for Big Three discussions. The French Foreign Office announced that France had accepted “ with lively satisfaction ” Russia’s suggestion 'that a meeting should be held in Paris on June 27. Reuter’s diplomatic correspondent says that the three Foreign .Ministers, when they meet in Paris, are expected to set up committees of experts to examine the food, coal, and steel situation. The Ministers will also probably decide whether the United Nations European Economic Commission can he used in implementing Mr Marshall's plan.
