MINORITY GOVERNMENT IN OFFICE IN ITALY
LONDON, June 23. Signor de Gasperi, after his new Government gained a vote of confidence by 274 votes to 231, made a fighting speech, showing that the Communist and Socialist Parties’ obstructionist attitude had left him no alternative but to form a minority Government, says the Rome correspondent of ‘ The Times.’ Signor de Gasperi specifically attacked the Communist and Socialist leaders, Togliatti and Nenni. He declared that they had followed a twofaced policy by allowing their representatives to enter the two previous Ministries while they attacked the Government from the outside.
