FERRIER ENTERS SEMI-FINALS IN AMERICAN GOLF TITLE

NEW YORK. June 22. Jim Ferrier entered the semi-finals of the national professional golf championship at Detroit to-day, defeating the 1946 open champion, Lloyd Alangrum, 4-3. Another semi-finalist is Art Bell, who defeated K. Y. Laffoon 2 up. In the quarter-finals, Vic Ghezzi defeated the national open champion, Lew Worsham. 3 a fid 2. and Chick Harbert defeated Lei and Gibson 2 up.
