The appointment of the 'ffiev. A. D. Horwell as assistant director of missions was confirmed by the General Assembly of the Presbyterian Church ■of New Zealand yesterday. The appoint- ' ment is for a period of five years./ Mr" Horwell served overseas during the recent war. - He woiiked as a student at Kenningtou, Invercargill, and later was a minister on the IRangataiki Plains. He went overseas from St. ( John’s, Greymouth.
