DENTISTS PROTEST
EXTENSION OF LEGISLATION ; OPPOSED AMENDMENT UNFAVOURABLE TO PUBLIC (ißec. 11.32 a.m.) SYDNEY, Aug. 28. A meeting of several hundred dentists list night vigorously opposed proposals that the State Government should legislate to allow dental mechanics to make _ dentures for the public. A resolution was passed with two dissentient voices, protesting against any amendment of the existing dental regulations, which would react unfavourably, upon the public by the admission of unqualified persons, and opposing the application by the New South Wales Dental Mechanics’ Association for registration to engage in the practice of dentistry.
