FIRST 100 BREAK Good all-round billiards were played by R: Carrick (Auckland) in his game against A. L. Hood, of Milton, during the first i-oimd of the New Zealand amateur billiards championship last night. Carrick’s score included a small run of ■nursery cannons and a break of 107. The game resulted in a win for Carrick by 666 to 246. Garrick’s average was 11.1. The best breaks wCre: Carrick—lo7, 46, 44, 41, ,33 (unfinished), 28, 25, 23, 23, 22, 22, 20; Hood—.3l, 21. In the afternoon game W. Smith (Christchurch) defeated C. Fiveash (Wellington) by 666 to 369, the averages being 10.7 and 5.9. Best breaks: Smith—ss, 47, 45, 46i 34. 33. 24, 2.3, 23, 23, 23, 20; Fiveash—3B, 33, 24, 20, 20.
This evening’s game at the association’s room at Cargill’s Corner will be between W J. McMillan (Wellington) and T. Yesberg (Waimate).
