WIND DROP ENABLES " BREAK " TO BE BURNED (Rec. 11.35 a.m.) SYDNEY, Feb. 4. The sudden dropping of the southerly wind last night saved the township of Bundeena from destruction by a bush fire. After fighting the flames all day, the hundreds of volunteer fire-fighters were still unable to gain control last night. Nearly 100 homes" were hurriedly evacuated, but at 10 p.m. the wind suddenly dropped, enabling a break to be burned round the township.
