FATAL COLLISION

DEATH OF THREE MEN JIGGER HITS STATIONARY TRAIN (P.A.) OTAKI, February 4. Three young men —Alfred Cook, Tangi Wallace, and William Murrayriding a jigger, collided with a stationary train at South Manakau on Saturday night. Wallace was killed outright, and Murray later died of his injuries. Cook was taken to the Palmerston North Hospital -and succumbed a few hours later. A fourth man, George Cook, escaped serious injury. An inquest was opened to-day.
