AIR ROUTES
TRANS-PACIFIC AGREEMENT HAMILTON (Bermuda), Feb. 2. ■ It is reliably reported that the United States has agreed to permit Britain to fly two trans-Pacific routes from the United States—the northerly route from Seattle via Alaska to Hongkdhg and beyond, and also via Hawaii to New Zealand and Australia. At the same time, the British 'and American representatives to the aviation conference sent to London and Washington an entirely new proposal for commercial airline use of the United: States' military air bases on leased British territory in the Atlantic. The question of complete military control of the leased hase area remains, for later settlement, and will not affect the operation of any final agreement. ■ Informed persons said that Britain was apparently concerned about the provisions for serving aircraft at the United States air bases. She v is unwilling to permit the Americans to maintain petrol storage tanks and similar equipment, but wishes to sell Eetrol to airlines using American ases, ./.'.■ *
