COUNTRYSIDE AFLAME
ANNAMESE UNREST FRENCH TROOPS RESISTED SAIGON, January 6. The countryside around Saigon is aflame, as Annamese are resisting advancing French troops, and apparently pursuing a “ scorched earth ” policy, reports the Associated Preses correspondent.
