WITHDRAWING FROM FORWARD POSITIONS
(Rec. Noon.) LONDON, August 17. There were no casualties on the Burma front to-day, says Reuter's correspondent. The Japanese are withdrawing from their most forward positions in the Sittang Bend, suggesting a general regrouping before marching to the British lines.
