AUSTRALIAN REPRESENTATIVE

GENERAL SIR THOMAS BLAMEY , . SYDNEY, Aug. 17. It is understood that General Sir Thomas Blarney, Commander-in-Chief Australian army will be present as the representative of Australia when General Mac Arthur receives the Japanese at Manila.

In an order of the day General Blarney said: "The climax has come when all six Australian divisions were fighting strenuously. No divisions among the Allies have contributed more to the/downfall .of our enemies. We have fought through the burning days and freezing nights of the desert, and amid the ooze and sweat of tropical jungles. We have defeated the Italians and the Germans, and we would .soon have destroyed the Japanese. We have done our part in ensuring freedom for all peoples."
