LEAVING TOKIO ON SUNDAY U.S. SIX-FOOTERS TO PROTECT ' CONFERENCE HALL (Rec. 12.30 p.m.) MANILA, Aug. 17. General MacArthur announced that the Japanese Government had notified him that the surrender emissaries would leave Tokio by plane next Sunday for Manila.. The Associated Press says 30 stalwart sixrfooters from General MacArthur's guard of honour will protect the hall where the Japanese envoys will meet General MacArthur. Four hundred military police will guard the route from an undisclosed airport to the conference room.

General Hsu Yung-chung, head of the Board of Military Operations and •even other other military and naval officers are leaving for Manila to-day to attend the Japanese surrender ceremonies.
