O God, our heavenly Father, grant that the word of promise may be fulfilled in land where misery abounds, that the needy shall not always be forgotten, and the expectation of the poor shall not perish for ever. And grant also, that with the help given the warmth of brotherly love may be felt by hungering hearts the ivorld over. Amen.
