ROSLYN AND KAIKORAI
RATEPAYERS' ASSOCIATION The monthly meeting of the Roslyn and Kaikorai Ratepayers' Association was held last'evening, Mr M. C. Henderson presiding over a good attendance of members. Two new members were welcomed. Mr E. Sunderland was elected president in place of the late Mr Arthur Ellis. The secretary was instructed to write to the City Corporation on a number of matters of public interest. A suggestion, which it was' decided should be made to the corporation, was that of advertising Eraser's Glen as a scenic resort. The transport department, it was stated, would benefit through the popularising of the resort. It was decided to form a committee to arrange entertainment for returned servicemen from the district. The committee will comprise Messrs E. Fraser, A. Reid, (R. Herd, and W. Patrick, and the secretary of the association, Mr J. Hunter. A public meeting will be held in the near future to discuss further details o!f the proposal.
