AUSTRALIA DAY
TRADITIONAL MUSIO AND TOASTS (Rec. 8 a.m.) CANBERRA, Jan. 26. Marches in cities to-day of Australian youth organisations, with traditional band music and national toasts, marked the one-hundredth and fifty-seventh anniversary of the foundation of Australia. As well as commemorating the first settlement on January 26, 1788, it is the forty-fourth anniversary of the formal constitution of the Australian Commonwealth. A public holiday will be held on Monday.
